Indonesian education technology company Ruangguru announced on July 4, 2022, that it had acquired two local startups: Schoters, which prepares students for study abroad, and Kalananti, a provider of coding courses for children. The financial terms of the two deals were not disclosed.

Schoters was founded in 2018 and is led by co-founder Radyum Ikono. It guides Indonesian students who are applying for undergraduate and graduate study and scholarships overseas, offering consultation, tutoring, foreign language classes and help with application documents. Talks on the deal began in November 2021 and were completed in June 2022, and the Schoters brand will keep operating independently. Kalananti, founded in 2020, teaches coding and innovation to children aged 5 to 12 through blended learning; Ruangguru had acquired it earlier in 2022.

At the same event, Ruangguru presented several new products, including Ruangguru for Kids for children aged 3 to 12, an adaptive learning feature called Adapto X, and a preparation center for Indonesia's university entrance exam. Ruangguru was founded by Belva Devara and Iman Usman and serves school students in Indonesia. Schoters has said it helped thousands of students gain admission to more than 400 universities in 43 countries.
