Questions and answers

Who can become a Founding Member?

Organizations: colleges, universities and schools, and companies that work in education, learning or skills. Founding Membership is not open to individuals or students, who have their own memberships.

When do the founding places close?

On 31 March 2027, or earlier if all 50 places are taken.

How does the 30% reduction work?

It applies to the fee for your first year, at whichever level you join. From the second year the standard fee for your level applies.

What does “fee held for two years” mean?

The annual fee for your level stays at the rate you joined at for two years, even if WAC’s fees rise in that time.

What does “Founding Member” on the mark mean?

Your membership mark and your directory profile say “Founding Member” for as long as your organization stays a member. It states membership and nothing more.

Is Founding Membership an accreditation?

No. The World Assessment Council is not an accrediting body, and membership at any level is not a certification of your organization or its programmes.

Does registering interest commit us to anything?

No. The WAC team replies by email with the fee band for your country and the next steps. A place is held only when your application is confirmed.
