Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the launch of AWS EdStart in Vietnam on March 31, 2021, opening its virtual accelerator for education technology startups to founders in the country. Viet Nam News reported the announcement the following day.

AWS EdStart is aimed at entrepreneurs building online learning, analytics and campus management products on the AWS cloud. According to the report, members receive AWS promotional credits, access to live and virtual community and networking events, customized training, marketing opportunities and technical support. Edtech entrepreneurs and founders in Vietnam were able to apply from the launch. The report cited the managing director of AWS's worldwide public sector business for ASEAN.
