Adaptemy said on 21 September 2026 that Singapore's Adaptive Learning System, which runs on its technology, had been selected by the World Digital Education Alliance as one of ten international examples of good practice in AI in education. The alliance published the selection in May 2026 in its report Best Practices in AIED: Scenario-Driven AI Plus Education Transformation, released around the World Digital Education Conference in Hangzhou, China.

According to the alliance, the ten cases were chosen from more than 500 submissions to a global call, with judging based on real-world use, measurable results, ethical responsibility and sustainability. The alliance's listing describes Singapore's system as part of the national Student Learning Space, launched in 2023 and available to about 150,000 students in selected subjects and grades.

The system is run by Singapore's Ministry of Education and uses machine learning to recommend personalised learning pathways. Adaptemy said its engine links models of the learner, the curriculum and the content and updates its estimate of each student as they work. The Dublin company called the recognition an example of what sustained collaboration with the ministry can achieve; no ministry comment was included.

Why it matters

International recognition of a national adaptive learning deployment gives other education systems a reference case for using AI to personalise practice at scale in public schools.
