Kahoot!

Game-based learning platform used for quizzes and interactive lessons in schools, workplaces and homes.

About Kahoot!

Kahoot! offers a game-based platform where hosts create quizzes and interactive lessons that participants answer live or in their own time. Teachers use it for lessons, homework, reviews and formative assessment; companies use Kahoot! 360 for training, onboarding, meetings and events; families and students use study apps. The company says over 10 million teachers hosted a Kahoot! session in the past 12 months and it has had 14 billion cumulative participants. The group also includes Clever, Drops, DragonBox, Poio, Actimo and Motimate. Kahoot! was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Oslo.

Delisted from the Oslo Stock Exchange in 2024 after acquisition by a group led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management with General Atlantic, KIRKBI and the Kahoot! team; still operates under its own name.
