Malta-based SuperCharger Ventures announced on September 29, 2025, the fifth cohort of its education technology accelerator, made up of 19 startups from 11 countries. It is the largest group the program has admitted and, for the first time, includes three companies from Malta.

The cohort was chosen from 620 applications, a record for the accelerator, with rising interest from Latin America and North America. The selected companies report average annual recurring revenue of $500,000, with some reaching up to $5 million, and together serve more than two million users. Over 12 weeks, founders work with mentors, strategic partners and investors on scaling, go-to-market plans and international expansion. Through a collaboration with Malta Enterprise, participants are also eligible for grants, soft loans and relocation assistance. The three Maltese companies are Study First Europe, Klassifi and Verbivore; others include SiriusGame and Finanz from Italy and Edumentors from the United Kingdom.

SuperCharger Ventures has also begun raising a private fund dedicated to education technology, which it describes as the largest of its kind in Malta. The fund is intended to provide capital for startups emerging from the accelerator and from the wider region.
