The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), an initiative of Qatar Foundation, has opened applications for the 2026-2027 cohort of its EdTech Accelerator, Qatar News Agency reported on September 28, 2026. Applications close on October 31, 2026, and the program is due to begin in January 2027.

The accelerator is open to for-profit education technology startups at seed or pre-Series A stage that have moved beyond a minimum viable product. Applicants are expected to have a market-ready product, evidence of sales and user engagement, and measurable educational impact. The program runs two tracks: a local track for companies expanding within Qatar and an international track for those pursuing regional or global growth. Participants receive mentoring, business and growth guidance, introductions to education and innovation networks, and access to investors, and the local track also offers links to ecosystem partners and funding opportunities.

WISE says the accelerator has supported more than 40 startups from 20 countries over the past decade, with products reaching over 15 million beneficiaries in 130 countries. The 2025-2026 cohort consisted of eight startups chosen from more than 300 applicants, including companies offering AI-based school tools and digital credentials, and reached 2.9 million learners and educators.
