Unstop, an Indian talent engagement and hiring platform used by students and employers, announced on September 17, 2026, that it had entered into an agreement to acquire PerspectAI, a company that builds AI and game-based talent assessments. Unstop said the transaction had been signed, was structured as an all-equity swap with no cash consideration and covered 100 percent of PerspectAI. No deal value was disclosed.
PerspectAI draws on psychometrics, cognitive and behavioral science, and AI to produce indicators of employability, role fit and future potential. Unstop said the company serves enterprise clients in banking and financial services, education, manufacturing and consumer technology, among them Aditya Birla Capital, Tata Sons, Swiggy and Motilal Oswal, and that it was profitable in fiscal year 2026. PerspectAI's two founders and its engineering, quality and applied psychology teams are joining Unstop. One founder is to lead Unstop's expansion into the education and government segments, and the other is to join its product leadership team.
Unstop describes its community as more than 32 million students and professionals. It said it planned to offer the assessment tools across its customer base, including campus recruiters, lateral hiring teams and large enterprises, and to let students and professionals build profiles that combine demonstrated work and skills with measured indicators of capability. Entrackr's weekly report listed the deal as the only merger or acquisition it recorded among Indian startups for September 14 to 19.
