MagicSchool, a Denver company that builds generative AI tools for teachers and students, announced a $45 million Series B round on February 11, 2025. Valor Equity Partners led the investment.

Bain Capital Ventures, Adobe Ventures, Atreides Management and Smash Capital also participated. The round followed a $15 million Series A. MagicSchool said the funds would go toward larger product and engineering teams, additional AI features, closer partnerships with schools and districts, and a bigger customer experience group. The company also said it would spend more on product testing and expand the team dedicated to safety and responsible use.

When it announced the round, roughly 18 months after launch, MagicSchool reported that 6 million educators had signed up and that it had partnerships with more than 10,000 schools, with users in 160 countries. Local outlet BusinessDen reported that the software helps teachers with routine tasks such as generating rubrics and slideshows and had grown from seven or eight features to more than 70. It added that the company was founded in early 2023, employed about 85 people and had moved to a new office in Denver's Uptown district.
