The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language concluded its Arabic Language Innovation Accelerator in Riyadh and named five winning projects, according to reports published on August 7, 2025. The program, which the academy launched in January 2025, drew 195 project applications from startups and entrepreneurs working on language technology and Arabic digital content.
According to Bridge Middle East, 81 of the applicants qualified for a training bootcamp and 15 projects advanced to the final stage, where they received more intensive support and were introduced to investors and specialists. Bridge Middle East listed the winners as Sawt, Arabius, Abjadpulse, LangCall and Asma Bi Yadi, but did not describe what each project does or disclose prize amounts. The academy said the program offered training, mentoring and access to direct investment opportunities.
When applications opened in early 2025, the academy said through the Saudi Press Agency that the accelerator was intended to expand digital Arabic content and help young people and entrepreneurs turn ideas into sustainable businesses. Participants were offered training programs, mentoring and resources for building entrepreneurial skills, together with links to experts, consultants and a network of partners and investors. The call for applications closed on February 5, and the academy scheduled the program's official start for April 7.
According to Bridge Middle East, the academy described the accelerator as its first specialized program of this kind, aimed at linguistic innovation and at strengthening Arabic content online. Its secretary-general, Abdullah Al-Washmi, described it as one of the academy's key initiatives for language technology startups, and the report linked the program to Saudi Vision 2030. Applicants were not limited to existing companies: the program was also aimed at young people and early-stage entrepreneurs with ideas still in development. For founders building tools for Arabic speakers and learners, the accelerator offered a dedicated route to training, mentoring and investor contacts focused specifically on language technology.
