Vietnamese education technology company Galaxy Education announced on June 25, 2025, that it had raised nearly US$10 million from East Ventures and other investors.

The announcement described the deal as one of the larger edtech investments made in Vietnam during a period of difficult market conditions. According to the company, most of the capital will fund a national English as a second language program aimed at public schools and underserved communities, where teacher shortages and learning gaps are common. Galaxy Education also operates its own AI platform, which uses AI agents to personalize lessons for students and to give teachers adaptive support in real time.

Galaxy Education was formed in 2020 through the acquisition of the K-12 online learning platform HOCMAI. Its other brands are ICAN, which teaches languages and foundational technology skills to young learners, and FUNiX, an online university focused on vocational and digital skills that it acquired in 2023. The company said it had served a cumulative total of more than 8 million learners in Vietnam and 34 countries as of early 2025. It reported that its K-12 business had recorded positive EBITDA from April 2024 and that the company as a whole reached profitability in the first quarter of 2025.
